Held on Sunday, February 16th, 2025 at Gore Mountain in North Creek, NY! This past weekend, our Auto Group team came together for an unforgettable day on the slopes at Gore Mountain for our 5th Annual Ski Trip! This annual tradition has become a highly anticipated event, giving employees the chance to embrace the winter season, connect with coworkers, and enjoy a well-deserved day of fun and adventure. From seasoned skiers to first-timers, everyone had a blast exploring the mountain’s diverse trails, soaking in the breathtaking views, and experiencing the thrill of the downhill runs. The crisp mountain air and fresh powder made for perfect skiing and snowboarding conditions, ensuring a fantastic experience for all. To keep everyone fueled for the day, we provided a complimentary lunch at the Tannery Bar and Restaurant, where employees got to warm up, enjoy a delicious meal, and share stories from the slopes. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, recharge, and bond with colleagues in a casual and scenic setting. This event continues to be a wonderful way to bring our Auto Group team together outside of the workplace, strengthening our connections and building lasting memories. Whether carving through fresh powder or simply enjoying the mountain atmosphere, everyone left with smiles on their faces and excitement for next year’s trip. This annual event is a favorite in the community, and this year’s BBQ was a massive success—completely selling out! Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal featuring perfectly grilled chicken, classic salt potatoes, a fresh roll, and a tasty dessert. Our sponsorship helped ensure that all proceeds from the event went directly to the hardworking volunteers of the East Herkimer Fire Department, who selflessly serve and protect our community year-round. It’s almost that time of the year!! Our Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest is being held on the day of our Holiday Lunch Party on Wednesday, December 22nd. We’re so excited to see what kind of turnout we have this year! Winners from the following categories will be chosen by none other than Joe Steet Sr. and Steve Ponte Sr. for: Funniest, Best DIY, Most Holiday Spirit, Most Unique, Best Pop Culture, Joe’s Favorite, Steve’s Favorite, Ugliest Ugly Sweater. There will also be a winner for MOST liked photo on all of our Facebook pages in the Auto Group! Tune in to our Facebook and Instagram accounts, as all photos will be posted by Christmas Eve!

This past Sunday, August 1st, we held our Annual Company Picnic for the Steet Ponte Auto Group at Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge, NY! We have held it here every year since 1994, when we purchased our Toyota store in Yorkville, NY. This year was a bit different due to our rainy and colder summer we've been having, but still had over 300 people in attendance! The rain luckily held out until about 2pm, so many of us were able to squeeze in a bunch of water slides, dry rides, and walks through the Enchanted Forest part of the park. As always, the staff at the Park were extremely hospitable and helpful. We had a great picnic lunch, and the never ending ice cream is always a fan favorite!! Cheers to everyone who came out to celebrate the Auto Group in a relaxed, non-work environment!

The 19th Annual Steet Ponte Auto Group Golf Tournament is being held on Sunday, July 18th at Stonebridge Golf Course in Frankfort, NY! Each year we change the location to give all of our local golf courses business, and it’s also fun for us to golf different courses we might not attend normally! The tournament starts at 11:30am and is open to not just our employees, but family, friends, customers, and other business associates. There are a total of 12 categories and a number of courses for each that are required to become a GM Master Technician. Each category may consist of 1-5 or more classes providing a rigorous and extensive coursework. And we’re BACK with our staff introductions at Steet Ponte Chevy!! The first Tuesday of every month we introduce a different face to help you get to know us better! This month, we’re introducing Mike Corian! Mike is a Sales & Leasing Consultant who lives locally in Ilion, NY! He started working with us in late 2020, and his favorite Chevy is the Chevy Silverado Trailboss. In his spare time, Mike likes to play the drums and guitar and spend time with family and friends.

We want you to know that we're dedicated to our employee & customer's health & safety during this time as we head into not only flu & cold season, but COVID-19 as well. We are complying with New York State Automobile Dealer's Association regulations and cleaning our facility every 2 hours per their instruction. We still have plexiglass in front of all desks, follow social distancing in all departments, and have cleaning supplies, extra masks, and hand sanitizer at every desk throughout our store. We have a professional cleaning company that still comes nightly to clean the dealership as well. Rest assured that your experience with our family and locally owned group of dealerships will not only be easy and enjoyable, but also SAFE! As a reminder, we still offer virtual vehicle sales. Service appointments can be made online or by phone, and both service and parts can be paid for over the phone as well!
