COMMUNITY & EDUCATIONAL EVENTS

New Hartford Memorial Day Parade: we love participating in the parade every year. It's a great way for all of us to get into the community, show off our cars, and end at the New Hartford Fire Department for refreshments and tours afterwards!

Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute Antique & Classic Car Show:

The MWPAI Car Show comes every year at the end of their annual summer Arts Festival. The Festival features the Sidewalk Art Show and the Car Show with different themes like Camaros, Corvettes, and more!

Fire Truck Spectacular: The New Hartford Fire Department sponsors the Fire Truck Spectacular every year at the New Hartford Shopping Center. Fire Departments from all over the county are invited to come with their best trucks. It's a great way for local residents to learn about fire safety! The smokehouse is always staffed to show children (and adults) what to do in the event of a fire, and car seat safety checks are also provided.

Utica Zoo: Our Auto Group is proud to support our area's local Zoo for the 2025 year! Our sponsorship will go towards educational events that the Zoo holds, as well as their signature events like the family friendly Halloween Spooktacular!

Local Youth Sports Sponsorships: We proudly sponsor many local teams including CVA Softball & Little League, Flag Football through CVA and Mohawk Valley Flag Football, CNY Savage Basketball, Utica Blue Sox, and many other local youth sports!

Herkimer Humane Society: Recently, Steet Ponte Chevy and the Steet Ponte Auto Group proudly donated $5,000 to the Herkimer Humane Society, and helped them get into a cargo van for their transportation needs!

COMMUNITY CHARITY EVENTS

Children's Miracle Network Telethonfor the past 20 years, we volunteered our time to answer phones during the Children's Miracle Network Telethon. CMN is part of our local Hospitals, and they provide assistance to women and children's services. While they no longer hold a telethon, we still participate in check presentations and donations each year!

The One Charity Golf Classic:UFCW District Union Local 1 has held their local Charity Golf Tournament for over 20 years for our community. Each year, we donate a vehicle to raffle off, and participate in the tournament to raise money for multiple different non-profit organizations in our area. The sum of the donations are given out to many local charitable causes in our area like Operation Sunshine, The Abraham House, Kids Oneida, and Leukemia Society of America.

Holiday Giving: September through December are our big holiday giving events including our Backpack and School Supplies, Coats for Kids Coat Drive, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Holiday Giving Trees. We collect winter clothing items for the Herkimer, CVA, Utica and Rome Elementary Schools. Our Food Drive collects non perishable items for local food pantries including Catholic Charities and Feed our Vets, and our Giving Trees donate gifts and wish list items for children in need through many organizations from ICAN to the House of the Good Shepherd to The Neighborhood Center.

Internal Events: While Steet Ponte Chevy loves to participate in community events, we are also fans of spending time with one another to hel foster relationships and communication throughout our other stores! Each year we hold internal events and contests to strengthen our bonds!

Ugly Christmas Sweater & Halloween Costume Contests: Each of our stores has a catered, holiday lunch party leading up to Christmas and New Year's. At our parties, everyone is encouraged to wear their best Ugly Christmas Sweater (or costume.) Like our Halloween contest, Joe and Steve Sr. pick their favorite costumes in 8 different themed categories!

Our Halloween Costume Contest is always a great way to celebrate Halloween especially when it lands on a work day! Each of our stores is encouraged to dress up, and we've had some great group costumes throughout the years!

Steet Ponte Auto Group Golf Open: Annual Golf Tournament for employees and local vendors and businesses at a rotating local golf course each summer! It's a great way to relax on a Sunday and enjoy the good weather. Lunch, dinner and drinks are all included and prizes are given to the winning team along with raffles!

Steet Ponte Auto Group Ski Trip: For the 5th year, we've grown our ski trip from about 10 people to 40 at Gore Mountain in North Creek, NY! The day includes a full day lift ticket and lunch at the Tannery Restaurant.

Steet Ponte Auto Group Company Picnic:Our Company Picnic has grown from 50 attendees at Enchanted Forest Water Safari, to over 500 over the course of the years since acquiring multiple different stores. We provide tickets for our employees and their immediate family members, and also provide extra tickets at a discounted rate. We have our own pavilion, lunch is provided along with ice cream and refreshments throughout the day!
