Steet Ponte Auto Group Takes Team Spirit to the Ballpark

A new school year means new teachers, new friends, new adventures—and, of course, a fresh set of school supplies! The Steet Ponte Auto Group recently held our 3rd Annual School Supplies & Backpack Drive, and we’re incredibly proud that this year’s effort resulted in 576 backpacks filled with essential school supplies being donated to local students. Each backpack included supplies such as folders, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, pencils and more—everything students need to feel prepared as they head into a new year. United Auto Sales was proud to join our fellow Steet Ponte stores in supporting students in the Utica City School District. We believe that starting students off with the right tools can help motivate them, build confidence and set the tone for a successful school year. Community has always been at the heart of everything we do at Steet Ponte Chevy, and we're proud to support organizations that make a lasting difference in the lives of local families. On Thursday, July 30, our team had the pleasure of sponsoring and attending the Connected Community Schools Annual Herkimer Carnival, held at the ARC Park for students and families from the Herkimer, Central Valley Academy (CVA), and Dolgeville school districts. The annual carnival brought together hundreds of families for an evening filled with games, activities, food, and fun, giving students the opportunity to celebrate summer while strengthening the connections between schools, families, and the community. Our team members, Sales BDR Dylan Tucciarone and Sales Consultant Josh Perez, represented Steet Ponte Chevy throughout the event, welcoming families to our booth and helping make the evening even more exciting. One of the biggest attractions at our station was our Hot Wheels race track, where kids raced three cars head-to-head to see who would cross the finish line first. It quickly became a crowd favorite! In addition to the races, we displayed a beautiful new 2026 Chevy Silverado, gave away plenty of fun prizes throughout the day, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the activities. Events like these give us the opportunity to meet members of our community outside of the dealership and create memories with local families. Why Connected Community Schools Matter The Connected Community Schools initiative plays a vital role in supporting students and families throughout our region. By partnering schools with local organizations, businesses, and community resources, Connected Community Schools help remove barriers to learning and ensure students have access to the academic, social, emotional, and family support they need to succeed. Programs like the Annual Herkimer Carnival create opportunities for families to come together, build stronger relationships with their schools, and foster a true sense of community.
